Bulldogs ground Hawks
The New London Bulldog wrestling team took down the Shawano Hawks 48-24 on Thursday, Dec. 15.
Leading the way were Andrew Moser, Justin Behnke, and Andrew Ritchie all winning by pin.
Zach Duenas and Austin Postel won by a technical fall. Jake Close and Earon Postel earned forfeits. Anna Malueg was the match of the night, winning a thriller OT match at 106 pounds. This was her first varsity match and her first career varsity victory.
JV won 4 matches out of 5. Freshmen upcomer Austin Wyngaard won two matches, along with fellow freshmen Wes Chieleski and junior Corbyn Johnson, each posting victories. All wrestlers showed great effort and great teamwork.
