The Diamond Cats baseball team picked up three wins in recent action.
Clintonville 13, Manawa 1
Kolin Kubitz was 4x4 with a double and 4 RBI, while Turner Doornink was 3x3 with 3 doubles and 3 RBI. Jansen Van Daalwyk was 2x4 with a double, Austin Paisar had a triple, Zac Riemer had a double, and Ben Klein added a hit to the offensive explosion.
Paisar was the winning pitcher.
Clintonville 9, Green Lake 8
Doornink was the winning pitcher, as he relieved Van Daalwyk and the Diamond Cats earned the win in extra innings.
Garrick Morgan was 2x3, and Kubitz was 2x5. Adam Weatherwax, Paisar and Doornink also had hits.
With the game tied at 8, Klein reached on an error. Weatherwax followed with a walk. Paisar moved Klein to third on a fly ball to center field. Kubitz then had the game winning hit in walk-off fashion.
Clintonville 9, Wittenberg 2
Weatherwax picked up the win as the Diamond Cats offense cranked out nine runs. Doornink was 2x3 with a home run, double, and 3 RBI. Paisar was 2x3 with 2 RBI. Kubitz and Klein both had doubles. Weatherwax and Jake Van Allen also had hits.
The Diamond Cats will play at the New London Tournament July 12-15.
