Early ice on Old River
Rick Reinholz of Sherwood caught this hefty 33-1/2 inch 13.5 pound pike while fishing the Old River south of New London Monday.
Ice conditions on the main river took a turn for the worse this week.
Several anglers were still venturing out onto the back waters where four to five inches were reported. Fishermen should use caution and check conditions daily.
