The Lady Truckers lost 26-53 to the Waupaca Comets on Friday, Jan. 6.
Waupaca jumped out to a 15-4 lead after one quarter, but the Truckers battled back in the second, outscoring the Comets 15-8. Waupaca led 23-19 at the half.
The Comets blew the game open in the third quarter, outscoring Clintonville 22-4. They also outscored the Truckers in the final frame, 8-3.
Clintonville made 11 of 51 shots (21 percent) and went 0 of 12 from 3-point range. Clintonville made 4 of 9 free throws.
The Truckers had 43 rebounds, but committed 20 turnovers.
Stacy Reinke led the Truckers with nine points, while Markiesa Westphal had six. Brittany Hoffman scored four, while Dayna Seymour, Hailey Sorenson, and Lauren Pugh all scored four. Darcy Knaack added one.
The girls will play at home on Tuesday, Jan. 17. Opening tip is scheduled for 7:15 p.m.
