Late lead slips away for Waupaca
Green Bay Southwest trailed the Waupaca girls' basketball team by nine points in the second half, but rallied to knock off the Comets 49-43 Thursday, Dec. 22, in a nonconference matchup in Green Bay.
Waupaca also fell to Berlin 51-42 Tuesday, Dec. 20.

GREEN BAY - The Comets trailed 12-9 after one quarter, but led 23-20 at halftime and 34-32 heading into the final period.
Alta Littrel led the Comets with 11 points, while Katie Barlow chipped in with eight.
Berlin 51, Waupaca 42
BERLIN - The Comets had no answer for the Indians' Callie Walker, who scored a game-high 28 points in the Eastern Valley Conference contest.
Berlin led 16-9 after one quarter, 30-20 at halftime and 40-31 after three quarters.
Ashlie Hoffman led Waupaca with 12 points, while Hannah Kobishop also finished in double figures for the Indians with 15.
Waupaca fell to 0-3 in the EVC and 0-6 overall with the losses and will host Ripon at 7:15 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 3.
Waupaca also fell to Berlin 51-42 Tuesday, Dec. 20.
