Legion defeats Seymour
Waupaca's Legion baseball team improved to 2-2 in the Fox River Valley American Legion Baseball League's West Division June 21 with an 11-2 win over Seymour.
Nate Nelson picked up the win on the mound for Waupaca.
Waupaca also dropped a 9-4 decision June 14 in New London and handed Kaukauna a 5-0 defeat June 13, with Nelson again getting the win.
Waupaca hosted New London June 27 and will play at Menasha at 7:30 p.m. Friday, July 6.
The junior varsity team fell to 0-4 in division play with recent losses to Kaukauna, New London and Kaukauna. The team hosted New London June 27 and will head to Menasha for a 5:15 p.m. game July 6.
