Merchant Alumni Game set for July 21
The New London Merchant Alumni Game will take place at 3 p.m. Saturday, July 21, at Hatten Memorial Stadium.
Ted Christian and Dale Stern will lead a group of New London Merchants from four decades against the 2012 merchants. In the last few years the "old guys" have been beating the current team, bringing back plenty of talent.
There will be plenty of excitement during and after the game, with full concessions and plenty of raffles. This year's proceeds will be going to the Hatten Stadium Foundation. Area residents and baseball fans are invited to come down for a fun-filled afternoon, and to enjoy cold refreshments and one of Tim Kanaman's special "merchant brats"!
