T-Birds lose to Stevens Point
Iola-Scandinavia opened Central Wisconsin 8 Conference play Friday, Dec. 9, in boys' basketball and came out on the short end of a 69-52 score to Stevens Point Pacelli.
The host Cardinals outscored the Thunderbirds 19-7 in the first quarter, 14-11 in the second quarter and 20-17 in the third quarter. I-S had a 17-16 advantage over the final eight minutes.
Bradly Hardel and Connor Lodewegen led the T-Birds with 14 points each, while Jordan Beyersdorf also finished in double figures with 13. Lodewegen also hit three of the T-Birds' six three-pointers.
Pacelli had two players in double figures. Brett O'Sullivan scored a game-high 20 points, while Isaac Elliott chipped in with 13.
The T-Birds hosted Shiocton Tuesday, Dec. 13, and will play at Amherst Friday, Dec. 16.
