Trucker football players honored
The Clintonville Quarterback Club held its annual football banquet to honor the players of the 2011 season Thursday, Nov. 3., at Clintonville High School. A potluck meal was served with meat catered by Matthew's Supper Club.
The evening began with the freshman football coaches, Justin McAuly and Josh Jacobsen, recapping their season and recognizing the accomplishments of these football players.
Following the freshman presentations were the traditional auctioning of a Trucker football helmet and a game ball. This brought great excitement as coach Mark "Tank" Westphal played the role of auctioneer.
Next the JV football coaches, Rod Moon and John Dunlavy, recognized the efforts and season of those athletes that gained valuable experience participating with the JV program.
The evening was capped-off by varsity football coaches Bob Petermann and Mark Westphal recognizing the accomplishments of the 2011 varsity football team. The seniors in particular were honored for their achievements with a ribbon and medal given to each senior by the Quarterback Club.
Those receiving additional recognition including all-conference awards are attached. Also, Brad Williams of WJMQ the Frog radio station honored senior Brandon Dilge with an athlete of the week award, given to him for his efforts during the Little Chute game this past season.
