Truckers cruise to victory over Bulldogs
The New London Bulldogs played host to the Clintonville Truckers for a non-conference volleyball matchup on Tuesday, Sept. 27. Clintonville won in three sets by scores of 25-22, 25-16, and 25-22.
The Bulldogs were led by Lexy Zaddack, who had one attack kill, 16 assists and seven digs. Emily Gorges added one ace, four attack kills, and 10 digs. Taylor Williams contributed one ace and 13 digs.
As a team, New London had three aces, 21 attack kills, six block kills, 23 assists, and 53 digs.

The Thunder rolled over the Bulldogs, taking the first three sets to sweep the match. New London lost by scores of 13-25, 21-25 and 25-27.
Taylor Williams had 22 digs, while Emily Gorges had seven attack kills, one block kill, and 19 digs. Winnie Cooley had 13 digs, and Lexy Zaddack added 12 assists and 13 digs.
Bay Port Tourney
New London took on Bay Port, Waupaca, Appleton West, Hortonville, Green Bay West, and Menasha at the Bay Port Tourney.
The Bulldogs went 1-2 against Bay Port by scores of 17-25, 25-13 and 11-15. Against Waupaca, New London took two of three by scores of 20-25, 28-26 and 15-10. The Bulldogs also went 2-1 against Appleton West, posting scores of 20-25, 25-17 and 15-9.
Hortonville beat New London 2-1 by scores of 25-11, 24-26 and 15-11. New London was 2-0 against Green Bay West with scores of 25-16 and 25-13. Menasha beat New London in two sets, 25-15 and 25-17.
For the tournament, Taylor Williams had 12 aces, two attack kills, five assists and 68 digs. Emily Steffanus had 37 attack kills, four block kills and 24 digs. Emily Gorges posted two aces, 28 attack kills, four block kills and 56 digs. Racheal Huebner added one ace, 30 attack kills, seven block kills, one assist and 13 digs. McKenna Quinter contributed 19 attack kills, four block kills, one assist and five digs. Lexy Zaddack notched five aces, four attack kills, 74 assists and 35 digs. Emily Wilfur had four aces, 26 assists, and 20 digs.
