Unbeaten Bears top Thunderbirds
Bonduel held onto first place in the Central Wisconsin 8 Conference boys' basketball standings Friday, Jan. 13, with a 57-45 win over Iola-Scandinavia.
The Bears improved to 6-0 in the CWC-8 and 10-0 overall, while the Thunderbirds fell to 1-5 in league play and 3-10 overall.
Bonduel led 14-9 after one quarter, 31-22 at halftime and 43-31 after three quarters.
Jordan Beyersdorf led the T-Birds with 12 points, while Zach Gauerke added 10 and Bradly Hardel finished with nine.
Nathan Doell led Bonduel with 19 points, while Logan Artis and Jacob Thorne scored 13 and 10 points, respectively.
The T-Birds will travel to Wittenberg tonight (Thursday, Jan. 19) to face the Wittenberg-Birnamwood Chargers before hosting Stevens Point Pacelli Tuesday, Jan. 24.
