Waupaca boys drop two soccer games
The Waupaca boys' soccer team opened its season with a pair of nonconference losses to Hortonville and Stevens Point.
Hortonville handed the Comets a 5-0 loss Aug. 16 in Hortonville, while Stevens Point defeated Waupaca 1-0 Aug. 14 in Waupaca.
The Comets headed to Menasha St. Mary Central for a nonconference matchup Aug. 21 and open Eastern Valley Conference play tonight (Thursday, Aug. 23) by hosting Fox Valley Lutheran.
The junior varsity game is set for 5 p.m., with the varsity contest to follow at 7 p.m.
