Kiernicki, Richard

Richard Kiernicki, age 82, of Weyauwega, formerly of Berlin, died on Tuesday, August 17, 2010 at his daughter’s home. He was born on March 31, 1928, in Poland, the son of the late Karl and Matylda (Dexhiemer) Kiernicki. On November 10, 1951, Richard married Sophie Jama in Chicago, IL. She preceded him in death on April 27, 1992. Richard worked as a auto mechanic and was a member of the Local 701 in Chicago. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and gardening. Richard is survived by 11 children, Chester, (special friend, Sharon, Mitchell (Donna), Thaddeus,Richard (Elaine), Christine (Jerald) Loehrke , George (Cathrine), Helen (Bryan) Beck, Irene (David Stinski) Kiernicki, Edward, Nancy (Jonathan) Blake, and Linda (Richard) Nickolaisen; 32 grandchildren, Justin and Megan Kiernicki, Jason and Jeremy Kiernicki, Jonese (Chris) Powell, Kevin (Allen), Michael, Steven and Allysa Kiernicki, Lisa (Anthony Perkins) Kiernicki, and Richard Kiernicki; David (Mandy Phillips), James (Crystal Koscher), Timothy Buhrow, Eric (Beth) Buhrow, Keith (Rebecca) Loehrke, Janet (Scott) Olson, James (Ashley Radloff) Loehrke, Tammy (Christopher) Raffen, Adam, Jared, and John Kiernicki, Nicole Beck (Bet-z), Samantha (Adam) Paugels, Bryon and Robert Kiernicki, Alex, Anna and Amy Blake, and Victoria Nickolaisen; 22 great-grandchildren, two brothers, Leopold (Agnes) Kiernicki and Mitchell Kiernicki; a sister, Irene (Edward) Ptak; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Richard was preceded in death by a grandson, Thomas Beck; a brother, William Kiernicki, a daughter-in-law, Bonnie Kiernicki, and a granddaughter-in-law, Danielle Kiernicki. Mass of Christian Burial was held on Monday, August 23, 2010 at 11:00 AM at All Saints Catholic Church in Berlin. Father Jerome Maksvytis will officiate. Burial will be in St. Michael’s Cemetery in Berlin. Visitation was held on Sunday, at the Lewin Funeral Home, Fremont from 4-7 PM. A memorial fund has been established.
