Waupaca County sheriff’s report

Theft

?Aug. 23 – A vehicle was reported stolen from the 1500 block of Northridge Drive, New London.

?Aug. 22 – A license plate was reported stolen off a car in the 600 block of High Street, Embarrass.

?Aug. 22 – A resident of the 100 block of North Elizabeth Street, Weyauwega, reported that $150 had been stolen from a parked car.

?Aug. 21 – Animal Haven Zoo, Weyauwega, reported that a donation jar with about $300 in it had been stolen.

?Aug. 18 – A 32-foot aluminum extension ladder was reported stolen from the N2100 block of Holiday Road, Waupaca.

?Aug. 17 – A large antique cast-iron kettle was reported stolen from a backyard on the E1800 block of King Road, Waupaca.

Burglary

?Aug. 23 – A caller from the N11000 block of Gill Road, Iola, reported that two people attempted to gain entry to his trailer.

?Aug. 18 – A break-in was reported at First United Methodist Church, 700 block of Demarest Avenue, Waupaca.

?Aug. 18 – An attempted break-in was reported at Northland Lutheran Church, N9800 block of State Highway 49, Iola.

Fraud

?Aug. 21 – A Waupaca man reported that his son purchased a car on eBay, but it turned out to be a scam.

?Aug. 21 – A Bear Creek woman reported that unauthorized withdrawals had been made on her debit card.

Traffic

?Aug. 15 – Two people were injured in a crash at 11:50 a.m. in the town of Lebanon.

According to the accident report, Ashley M. Kriesel, 18, New London, was southbound on Madden Road when she failed to stop at the stop sign at the intersection with County Trunk T. She collided with a vehicle driven by Penny R. Tank, 38, New London. Both were transported from the scene by ambulance.

?Aug. 15 – Elizabeth Viste, 22, Wild Rose, was injured in a crash shortly after 3 a.m. in the town of Dayton. Viste failed to negotiate a curve on State Highway 22 near Crystal Lake Road. She went into the ditch and overturned.
