Jaeger, Richard

Richard Jaeger, age 84, New London, died on Friday, September 03, 2010.

Richard was born on December 8, 1925, in Dickinson, North Dakota, son of the late James and Catherine (Stroh) Jaeger. He lived in Caledonia (Racine County) for many years moving to New London in 1983. Dick proudly served his country in the US Navy
during World War II. He worked at Wisconsin Electric Power for 30 years, retiring in 1984. He enjoyed fishing and crafts. Dick was a member of Emanuel Lutheran Church, New London and a member of the New London Post 263 American Legion and the 40& 8. He is survived by his children, Roxanne DeNomie, Milwaukee; Dennis (Deborah) Jaeger, Caledonia (Racine County) and Jean (Larry) Swenson, Milwaukee. Brothers, Ray (Beverly) Jaeger, South Carolina; James (Beverly) Jaeger, New London; Patrick Jaeger, Milwaukee; sisters, Rosella (Don) Frederickson, Lake Geneva; and Sharon (Tom) Booz, Muskego. He is further survived by eleven grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. His parents, two wives, Charlotte and Jean, a sister, Caroline and a brother David preceded him in death. Funeral services for Dick were held on Wednesday, September 8, 2010, at 11:00 a.m. at Emanuel Lutheran Church, New London with Rev. Brian Hennig officiating. Visitation will be held at the church from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will be in the Northport Ostrander Cemetery.
