Zegers, Joan I.

Mrs. Joan I. Zegers, age 83, of Iola, died Wednesday, September 1st, 2010 at St. Michael’s Hospital in Stevens Point, Wisconsin. Joan was born in Milwaukee on September 21, 1926, the daughter of the late Alfred and Edna (Gueldner) Martin. She married Bill Wresch on May 18, 1946 in Milwaukee. He preceded her in death on Oct 7, 1974. She later married Harold Zegers on July 31, 1977. He preceded her in death on Feb 27, 2006. Joan worked for Goodwill Industries for several years. She lived in Iola for over 20 years and appreciated her many friends here, especially the ladies in her gardening club and her friends at the library. She is survived by Sons: Bill (Sue) Wresch of Oshkosh. John Wresch of Carlsbad, NM. Five Grandchildren and Two Great Grandchildren; Sister: Bonnie (Robert) Anschuetz of Minocqua along with several Step-Children and Step-Grandchildren. She was preceded in by her Husband’s: Bill Wresch & Harold Zegers and One Son: Tom Wresch. A Memorial Service will be held at Voie Funeral Home in Iola at 1:00 PM on Thursday, September 9th, with Father Robert Pedretti officiating. Visitation will be held on Thursday at the funeral home from 12 noon until the time of service. Interment will be in Central Wisconsin Veterans Memorial Cemetery, King Wisconsin.
