A total of $800 was generated from the Love of Mike fundraiser held Aug. 21 at The Millstone of Iola Mills. All of the money was donated to the Humane Society of Waupaca County and Fox Valley Humane Association.
“We had a good day, unfortunately not a great day as I had hoped,” stated Tom Fucik, who coordinated the event. He noted there were many other events and conflicts on that Saturday.
“I’m sure the animals would be grateful, if they knew,” he added. “Maybe they do.”
Fucik plans to make the fundraiser an annual event.
