Hedtke, Ruby F.

Ruby F. Hedtke, age 81, New London, died on Wednesday, September 8, 2010, at Appleton Medical Center. Ruby was born on December 4, 1928, on her Grandpa Johnson’s farm in Scandinavia, daughter of the late Silas and Edna (Rierson) Johnson. On February 2, 1946, she was united in marriage to Arnold Hedtke. He preceded her in death in 1988. Ruby loved playing cards with family and friends, gardening, baking and cooking. She also enjoyed doing puzzles, playing scratch off tickets and was very fond of animals. She is survived by four daughters, Cindy (Dave) Maus, New London, Deb (Tim) Bruette, New London; Patty (Larry) Jennerjohn, Hortonville; Tammy (Clarke) Davison, Appleton; two sons, Dan (Jessica) Hedtke, Bear Creek and Randy Hedtke (girlfriend Phill), Hortonville. Thirty grandchildren, forty great grandchildren, four great-great grandchildren, special friends, Jo and Sarge Wilson, Bear Creek; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also further survive her. She is preceded in death by her parents, two sons, Steven and Arnold Jr., a brother, Vernon Johnson, and a sister, Violet Gilbertson. Funeral Services for Ruby were held on Saturday, September 11, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at Emanuel Lutheran Church , New London with Rev. William Heiges officiating. Visitation will be held at the church on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service. Burial will be in the St. John’s Cemetery, Caledonia Township.
