Purchatzke, Willard F.

Willard F. Purchatzke, age 82, of Waupaca, formerly of Wey-auwega, passed away on Thursday, September 16, 2010, at Appleton Medical Center. Willard was born on May 21, 1928, in Oshkosh, son of the late Fred and Esther (Stillman) Purchatzke. He graduated from Weyauwega High School with the Class of 1946. He served in the U.S. Army from 1948 until 1950. Willard worked for the Wisconsin Electric Power Company for 38 years, retiring in 1981. He was united in marriage to Donna Peterson on August 3, 1952 in Wisconsin Dells. Willard was a member of St. Peter Lutheran Church in Weyauwega all his life. He also served on the City Council for a number of years, was an avid golfer and belonged to the Weymont Golf Course until his death. In 2008, he moved to Waupaca with his wife. He is survived by his wife, Donna; two children: Scott (Becky) Purchatzke and Joy (Tim) Neuville; grandchildren: Michael (Bridget) Purchatzke, Matthew Purchatzke, Eric Neuville and Lindsay Neuville. Sister: Beverly (George) Hayes; brothers: Bryan (Arlys) Purchatzke and Vernon (Shirley) Purchatzke. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. The Christian Funeral for Willard was held on Tuesday, September 21, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Peter Lutheran Church in Weyauwega with Rev. Robbin Robbert and Rev. Dennis Lemke officiating. Burial was in Oakwood Cemetery in Weyauwega. Friends called at the Cline-Hanson-Dahlke Funeral Home in Weyauwega on Monday from 4-7 p.m. and on Tuesday at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
