Wanty, Raymond A.

Raymond A. Wanty, age 77, of Waupaca, died Sunday, September 26th, 2010, at his residence. He was born in the Town of Lanark, Portage County, Wisconsin, on July 29, 1933, the son of the late Alfred C. and Edna (Boushley) Wanty. Ray married Beverly Gall on June 30, 1956 at the Main Chapel of the Wisconsin Veterans Home in King. She preceded him in death on March 13, 2003. He worked at the Waupaca Foundry for over 32 years and had served in the United States Air Force. He is survived by his Children: Anthony “Tony” Wanty of Waupaca; Glen (Marion) Wanty of Waupca; Phillip (Jody) Wanty of Cannon Falls, MN; Ronald Wanty of Waupaca; Mary (John) Mason of Waupaca; Kathy Wanty of Sheboygan; David (Alice) Wanty of Charlesburg, WI; Sisters: Dorothy Peskie of Almond; Norma Schultz of Waupaca; Mary Shirley (Paul) Frazer of Bowie, Maryland; Shirley (David) Strange of Appleton; Brother: Richard (Arylene) Wanty of Waupaca. Ray is also survived by Ten Grandchildren and One Great-Grandchild, along with several nieces, nephews other relatives and friends. Ray was preceded in death by a Son: Robert Wanty, Granddaughter: Danielle and Brothers: Leore “Bud” Wanty, William Wanty & Lloyd Wanty and Sisters: Marge Pryse & Phyllis Stiebs. Memorial Mass will be held at St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church in Waupaca at 1:00 PM on Friday, October 1st, with Father Brian Belongia officiating. Visiation will be held at the church on Friday 12:00 Noon-1:00 PM. Interment will be in St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Cemetery in Waupaca.
