Bartel, Michael R.

Michael R. Bartel, 49, Central City, Colorado, died unexpectedly August 30, 2010. He was born December 20, 1960, to Roger and Nancy Bartel, Wautoma. He enjoyed ridding his motorcycle in the moutains and photograhing his journey. He also enjoy rock climbing, fishing, horse back riding and donating countless hours to the community. He is survived by his parents, two daughters: Michelle Bartel, Central City, CO; Theresa Miller (Robert), Hancock; three grandchildren: Kyleigh Gorges, Central City, CO; Devin Charron, Hancock; Brie-Ann Miller, Hancock. Three brothers: Barrett Bartel (Barbara), Waupaca; Jay Bartel (Jodi), New London; Todd Bartel, Wautoma. Two sisters: Roxanne Estrada (Art), Hancock; Kelly Mapes (John), Weyauwega; and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents; his niece, Kristi Estrada- Villagomez. A memorial service was felled on September 7, 2010 at The Elks Lodge number 557, Central City, Colorado. A memorial service will be held on Oct. 17th at the World War II Memorial, 440 W. Main St., Wautoma, at 2 p.m.
