Sawall, Robert L.

Robert L. Sawall, age 67 of Clintonville, passed away on Friday, October 8, 2010 at Manor Care of Appleton. “Bob” was born on January 12, 1943 in the Township of Lebanon, Waupaca County, the son of the late Henry and Ruth (Randt) Sawall Sr. He later graduated from the New London High School. On September 12, 1964 he was united in marriage to Barbara Schertz at the Trinity Lutheran Church, Township of Bear Creek, Waupaca County. The couple lived a short time in New London until they moved to Clintonville where they have lived since. Bob had worked at the Edison Company (Simmons) and Bi-County Co-op, New London, Clintonville Co-op & Northern Propane, Clintonville, Scenic Valley Co-op, Nichols, Coonen Oil, Clintonville and Murphy’s Construction, New London, retiring in 2005 because of his health. He was a member of the St, Martin Lutheran Church, Clintonville where he had served as elder and usher. His hobbies included camping, playing cards, playing softball and deer hunting. His wife, Barbara of 46 years. His daughter: Brenda (Milan) Roth, Shawano His son: Brian (Carol) Sawall, Marion. His grandchildren: Emily, Jared, Austin & Cyndal Sawall and Ashley Reddi. His sisters: Sue (Al) Handrich, Hortonville June (James) Free, Rochester, MN Ruth (Larry) Kalbus, New London. His brothers: Henry (Barbara) Sawall, Richard (Opal) Sawall & Alan (Margaret) Sawall, New London. His father-in-law: Ted Schertz, Clintonville. His sisters-in-law & brothers-in-law: Susan & Jeffrey Hagen, Waupaca, Mike & Rhonda Schertz, Bear Creek. He was preceded in death by his parents, a sister, Retta Schmidt, a brother, Vernon Sawall and his mother-in-law, Frieda Schertz. Funeral services will be held 11 A.M. Saturday, October 16, 2010 at the St. Martin Lutheran Church, Clintonville with the Rev. Christian Burg officiating. Interment will be in the Graceland Cemetery, Clintonville. Friends may call from 4 until 8 P.M. Friday at the Eberhardt-Stevenson Funeral Home & Crematory, Clintonville and after 10 A.M. Saturday at the church until the time of the service.
