Foundry applies for air pollution permit

ThyssenKrupp Waupaca has applied for an air pollution permit from the Wisconsin Department of Natural Resources (DNR).

The application includes plans and specifications for operation of an existing gray iron foundry, Plant 2/3 at 1955 Brunner Drive.

The DNR has made a preliminary determination that the application meets state and federal air pollution-control requirements and that the permit should be approved.

The application can be reviewed at the Waupaca Area Public Library or online at http://dnr.wi.gov/air/permits/permitsearch.html.
