Town of Wolf River to host regional meeting

The town of Wolf River is one of four municipalities in Winnebago County that is hosting an informational meeting about the Farmland Preservation Program.

The regional meeting will be held at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 9, at the town hall, located at 8800 County Trunk II, near Fremont.

Those in the area who want to learn about the Farmland Preservation Program are invited to attend this informational meeting.

This is the second round of meetings being held in the county. The county has a steering committee and has asked each town to participate.

The steering committee has to come up with a Farmland Preservation Plan and desires public input as part of the process.

A map and plan must be in place by the end of 2011.
