Barnhart, Milton “Red”

Milton “Red” Barnhart of Waupaca, age 75, passed away on Sunday, November 14, 2010 at Appleton Medical Center, as a result of injuries he received in a car accident caused by a drunk driver. He was born in Waupaca on February 2, 1935 to the late Harris and Genevieve (Winkler) Barnhart. On November 1, 2003 he married Jan Koch. Red was a veteran of the Korean Conflict, serving in the Army. He was an outstanding member of the Odd Fellows. He was the owner of a lumberyard in Waupaca. He will be sadly missed by his wife: Jan; step children, Deborah McLlarkey, Lori Arneson, Cindy Nowlin, Mike Koch, Alan Koch, Wendy (David) Sellier, Dawn Koch, Brian (Amy) Koch, Kelly (Gina) Koch, Dianne (Dennis) Jochman, Bill (Penny) Anderson, Pam (Chris) Gans; 34 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; sisters, Wilma Cabaniss and Mary Barnhart; other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a sister, Lou Ann Barnhart. The Memorial Service will be on Thursday, November 18, 2010 at 2 p.m. at the Maple Crest Funeral Home, with Rev. Fred Lueders officiating.The visitation will be on Thursday from 1 p.m. until the time of the service. In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established.
