Pearl Street Bridge Project Engineer Eric Masiarchin recently met with New London Board of Public Works committee to update them on the status of the bridge project.
Masiarchin reported that the original date of Nov.19 was changed to a tentative date of Dec. 20, due to the unusual weather patterns and periods of high water in the Wolf River. He reported the combination resulted in losing one month of work time.
He informed board members that extra efforts would be taken for pouring concrete in colder temperatures. He also said the bridge would be open to traffic before Christmas, and that minor details would be taken care of in the spring.
