Trinrud, Ethyl M.

Ethyl M. Trinrud, of Waupaca, age 87, passed away Wednesday, November 10, 2010, at Park Vista, surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Portage County, on August 20, 1923, to the late Arthur and Ella (Kjer) Tobie. On February 14, 1945 she was united in marriage to Arthur Trinrud. He preceded her in death on January 19, 2001. She and Art lived on the family farm until moving to King in 1976. She worked as a CNA at the Wisconsin Veterans Home for about 19 years. Ethyl was a devoted member of Farmington Lutheran Church, where she was a Sunday school teacher, was active with the quilting group, and served for funeral luncheons with the ladies aid. She and Art always had pet dogs and most recently, she had a cat named Pearl. Ethyl loved her family, grandchildren and great-grandchildren and she will be dearly missed. Her survivors include two sons: Dale (Evalie) Trinrud and Dennis (Donna) Trinrud, all of Waupaca; grandchildren: Karen Thulien of Iola, Alison (Duane) Dunham and Brad (Ruth) Trinrud, all of Waupaca; step-grandchildren: Jacci (Kasey) Koch of Weyauwega and Kelly Durrant of Waupaca; seven great-grandchildren: Brandon, Avery, Megan, Jared, Ryan, Jensen and Griffin. She is also survived by a sister, Prudie (Glen) Hagen of Waupaca, as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Preceding her in death include her husband, Art; brother, Willard (Alta) Tobie; and sisters: Phyllis Tobie, Marian (Orin) Dahlen, Ruth (Edwin) Nelson and Emma (Selmer) Moe. The Funeral Service was held at 11 a.m. Saturday, November 13, 2010 at Farmington Lutheran Church. Rev. Mark Sabin officiated. Visitation was held from 9 a.m. until the time of the service at the church. Burial was in the Salem (Swede) Cemetery, Town of Farmington, WI. The family wishes memorials are directed to Farmington Lutheran Church or ThedaCare at Home Hospice. The Maple Crest Funeral Home of Waupaca assisted the family with arrangements.
