Daniel L. Gorges, 35, New London, was charged Nov. 19 with physical abuse of a child, misdemeanor battery and disorderly conduct.
Gorges is accused of throwing a 16-year-old boy onto the floor and kicking him in the mouth on Feb. 26.
He faces up to three years in prison if convicted of physical abuse of a child.
