Truckers drop tune-up game to Pulaski

PULASKI – The Clintonville Trucker boys varsity basketball team lost a tune-up game to the Pulaski Red Raiders by a score of 36-59.

Pulaski jumped out to a 15-8 lead after one quarter and extended their lead to 30-20 at halftime. Pulaski outscored Clintonville 29-16 in the second half to doom the Truckers.

Patrick VanDaalwyk led the Truckers with 14 points but made just three of 10 shots. Justin Reiter had eight points while Xavier Fletcher also added eight. Mike Fisher, Greg Kriewaldt and Tyler Sawall all had two points.

Clintonville had no three-point basket, while Pulaski shot 46 percent from behind the arc. Overall, the Truckers shot 43 percent from the field, while Pulaski shot 45 percent.

Clintonville won the rebounding battle, 23-21; however, Pulaski had 14 assists compared to Clintonville’s five.
