Clintonville High School Holiday Choir Concert

The Clintonville High School Holiday Choir Concert will be performed under the direction of Rebecca Schettle, at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 14, in the high school auditorium.

The concert will begin with all choirs singing “Silent Night”. Mixed Choir will take the stage and perform “A Winter Morning” by Brent Pierce, “A Carol in Winter” by Mark Hayes, and “Cantate Domino” by Natalie Sleeth.

Chamber Choir will perform “Exsultate Deo” by Alessandro Scarlatti and “There is No Rose of Such Virtue” by Kenneth Mahy with Danielle Morris as the soloist. They will then sing two beautiful John Rutter pieces: “Blow, Blow, Thou Winter Wind” from When Icicles Hang, and “Angels’ Carol.” The Men’s Barbershop Quartet, consisting of Don Pierre, Aaron Pingel, Nathan Jarabek, and Colin Moon, will perform “Let There Be Peace on Earth” arranged by Tom Gentry.

Varsity Show Choir men will perform “You’re A Mean One, Mr. Grinch” from How the Grinch Stole Christmas with choreography by Aaron Pingel. The full show choir will perform two medleys: North Pole Rock and Roll and Let it Ring, Let it Swing, Let it Snow featuring such holiday favorites as “Frosty the Snowman”, “Santa Claus is Comin’ to Town”, “A Marshmallow World”, and many others. Soloists include Aaron Pingel, Gwen Marchel, Jake Schertz, Nathan Jarabek and John Strehlow. Choreographers this year are Cassiti Schultz and Rhondalay Pingel.

All choirs will combine to sing the traditional carol “O Holy Night” by Adolphe Adam. Senior soloists this year are Elizabeth Aceto and Don Pierre. Our accompanist for the evening is Faye Johnson. Music Boosters will be selling refreshments.
