WA Olen Park Skating Rink Open

The warming house at the skating rink in WA Olen Park will now be open, weather and ice conditions permitting, Saturday and Sunday 1-4 pm.

When the warming house is open a supervisor will be on duty and a small fee charged to use the rink. This fee applies even if skaters do not use the warming house.

The fee schedule is as follows: Single Usage: City Resdient .50 Non-Resident 1.00 Season passes can also be purchased at the rink. Their cost is as follows: Individual: City Resident 2.50 Non-Resident 5.00 Family: City Resident 6.00 Non-Resident 12.00

The warming house will not be open if at the scheduled open skating time of 1 pm, the air temperature is below zero degrees, as determined by Frontier Communication’s Time/Weather/Temperature phone service at 823-5211, or if the ice conditions are unsafe or unusable for skating. Hockey play is not allowed during supervised open skating and users of the rink are expected to have skates on unless they are assisting younger skaters. The rink can also be used anytime that open skating is not offered. The rink is lighted for night skating, but skaters are asked to vacate the rink by 9 pm.

The warming house and rink can be reserved for a small fee for private use at other than the regularly scheduled open skating times. Contact the department at 823-7660 for details.
