Vanevenhoven Rose Bowl bound

Justin Vanevenhoven, New London High School alumni, will be traveling with the University of Wisconsin Marching Band to Pasadena, California to play in the Rose Bowl festivities.

He will march in the Rose Parade and play in the Rose Bowl game between the Wisconsin Badgers and the TCU Hornfrogs.

Justin, son of Gary and Mary Vanevenhoven of New London, is a junior at UW-Madison, and though he has been playing instruments such as alto saxophone for years, he only began playing the tuba last summer in hopes of making the UW Marching Band. His dream came true.

Watch New Year’s Day for Vanevenhoven and other area students who are taking part in this once in a lifetime opportunity.
