Von Gunten, Grace

Grace C. Von Gunten, age 95, of Waupaca, WI, passed away on Saturday, December 25, 2010 at Bethany Home. Grace was born in the Town of Adrian, Monroe County, WI on June 4, 1915, the daughter of the late Arthur and Anna (Joffer) Drowatzky. On February 27, 1935 Grace married Lloyd Von Gunten in Tomah, WI and he preceded her in death on November 8, 1991. She is a member of St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church. Grace is survived by her daughters: Dolores (Richard) Juber, Ocala, FL; Susan (Thomas) Affayroux, Kenosha, WI; Laurie (Robert) Warrender, Bristol, WI; her sons: Rev. Richard (Nancy) Von Gunten, Camdenton, MO; Michael (Bonnie) Von Gunten, Bristol, WI and Jeffrey Von Gunten, Waupaca, WI. 22 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren also survive along with a sister: Rita Schroeder, Sparta, WI. She was preceded in death by: her parents; her husband, Lloyd; a son Paul; a brother, Linus and two sisters, Sister Isabelle and Loretta Jackson. The Funeral Mass will be on Friday, December 31 at 11 AM at St. Mary Magdalene Catholic Church with Father Brian Belongia, officiating. Burial will follow in the Central WI Veterans Memorial Cemetery, King. Visitation will be on Friday morning from 10 AM until the time of mass at the church. Holly Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
