The Waupaca Duplicate Bridge Club will hold two consecutive weekly meetings this month at the Holly History and Genealogy Center, 321 S. Main St.
The games fall on back-to-back Fridays, Jan. 14 and Jan. 21. Each session will begin at 8:30 a.m. with a brief bridge lesson by Jack Rhodes, with play to commence promptly at 9 a.m.
All area bridge players are welcome to attend, and refreshments will be served.
In bridge action on Dec. 31, 2010, a smaller but enthusiastic field competed against each other for one list of awards. In first place was the team of Stephanie Schwingel, Coloma, and Wayne Larson, Ripon. Waupaca’s own Bart Blum and his partner Gene Trieglaff, Wild Rose, claimed second-place honors, while the duo of Ellen Kaul and Ann Linden rounded out the winners’ circle with a third-place finish.
