Think Pink campaign in Manawa

Little Wolf High School and Middle School students are wearing a lot of pink these days.

The school is conducting “Think Pink” promotional events at the school all week.

Community members were invited to wear pink to the following home events: Tuesday Jan. 11 at the Girls basketball game vs. Weyauwega, Thursday, Jan. 13 at the seventh and eighth grade girl’s basketball game vs. Bonduel, and this Friday, Jan. 14 at varsity girl’s basketball game vs. Wittenberg and this Saturday, Jan. 15 at the Manawa Wrestling invite.

Everyone wearing pink to the events will be given an entry into a drawing for a television. Additional chances to win the TV will be for sale for $1 each.

At school, various activites to raise funds and awareness about cancer are planned. Some of the the events include: pink tie-dye sock project, bake sales, hat day and tribute activity. Students have sold 400 black t-shirts with a think pink logo (designed by student Ashley Remington) to raise money for the cause.

So far this year students have raised $2,500 to fight cancer.
