Lorge, Durane T.

Durane T. Lorge, age 80 years, of Bear Creek, passed away, surrounded by her family on Tuesday, January 11, 2011 at Aurora BayCare Medical Center, Green Bay, after a courageous battle with lung cancer. The former Durane Tina Roloff was born December 11, 1930, in Big Falls to Elmer and Esther (Strohschoen) Roloff. She was united in marriage to Duane C. Lorge on April 27, 1949 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Bear Creek. Durane was employed as a nurses aide at St. Joseph Residence in New London for 23 years, retiring in 1992 to care for her granddaughter. She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Bear Creek, where she was an active member and former president of the PCCW. Durane’s interests included sewing, crocheting, embroidery, fishing, and camping. She liked to work with her hands and never sat idle. She cared for her parents-in-law and several grandchildren for many years. Durane baked treats for the entire neighborhood and when relatives and friends came over they never left her home hungry. She especially loved life and was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. Survivors include five children; Patricia (Dale) Paiser of Shawano, Terry (Lynn) Lorge of Clintonville, Lynn (Leo) McGinty of Bear Creek, Debbie (Wayne) Brady of Gresham, and Kathleen (Mark) Kraeger of Marion. There are eight grandchildren: Robert J. (Melissa) Knudtson, Amanda (Dustin) Heideman, Ryan McGinty, Katie (fiance Seth Anderson) McGinty, Andriea Lorge, Cassie (David) Hohensee, Beau Brady, and Courtney Kraeger. There are four sisters and four brothers; Dorothy Rasmussen of Tigerton, Earl (Vi) Roloff of Shawano, Everette (Nancy) Roloff of Waupaca, Edgar (Ardell) Roloff of Shawano, Della Grafton of Sheboygan, Esther Rosenau of Manawa, Emma Dirks of Sheboygan, and Eugene (Marie) Roloff of Oshkosh. There are two sisters-in-law, Marie Lorge of Clintonville and Tina Lorge of Bear Creek. She is further survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Duane – Sept. 10, 2000, and three sisters, Doris Wiese, Donna Durrant, and Diane Kroening. Mass of the Christian Burial was held Saturday, January 15th at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Bear Creek. The Most Reverend Robert F. Morneau will officiate and burial followed in the parish cemetery. Friends called on Friday from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Beil-Didier Funeral Home, Clintonville, and on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until time of mass at the church.
