The Waupaca Duplicate Bridge Club will meet at 8:30 a.m. Friday, Feb. 11, at the Holly History and Genealogy Center, 321 S. Main St.
Jack Rhodes will present a brief bridge lesson at 8:30 a.m., with play to commence promptly at 9 a.m. All area bridge players are encouraged to attend.
In bridge action on Jan. 21, the large field was again divided into East/West and North/South teams for purposes of competition. Capturing first-place East/West was the Waupaca team of Linda Pope and Mary Schommer, followed closely by Beth Oestreich and Betty Stauffer. Joan and Francis Gerow, Kaukauna, took East/West third-place honors.
Eric McVickar, Appleton, and his Oshkosh partner, Nancy Ogreenc, won first place in the North/South competition. Waupaca’s own Arnold Miller and Carol Konrad, Neshkoro, took second, while the duo of Wayne Larson, Ripon, and Stephanie Schwingel, Coloma, rounded out the winners’ circle by finishing third North/South. Honorable mention for the club game went to the Waupaca team of Karen Holly and Carol Peotter.
