Graves named Student of the Week

Amanda Graves, daughter of David and Julie Graves, Leopolis, has been named the Clintonville High School Student of the Week, sponsored by the Clintonville Rotary Club.

Graves has been involved in many events and activities during her high school career, including Solo and Ensemble, the school tutoring program, the Math Team, Concert Band, Jazz Band, Polka Band, and Wind Ensemble. She has performed in Conference Honors Band and qualified for State Solo and Ensemble.

She has also played softball for four years and has served as a basketball statistician. Graves was named the softball team MVP (two years) and was named to the All-Conference softball team.

Outside school, Graves performs piano recitals at nursing homes and churches. She has also participated in caroling events. Additionally, she is a volunteer tutor, participates in competitive travel softball, and assists with athletic events in Bowler. Graves has also attained a CNA license, and carries a 3.78 grade point average.

After high school, Graves plans to attend Lakeland College, where she intends to double major in Exercise Science and Education. At Lakeland, she plans to be in the Honors Program and be a member of the softball team. She intends to pursue a career in physical therapy or teaching and coaching.
