Bonnin, Velma H.

Velma H. “Mimi” Bonnin, Age 87, Hortonville, died on February 3, 2011, following a brief illness. Velma was born on April 18, 1923, in Appleton, daughter of the late Martin and Elsie (Morack) Bonnin. She loved polka dancing and spending time with her grandchildren. She formerly worked at Hortonville Wire Works. Velma is survived by a daughter, Susan (Leon) Fritch, Weyauwega; five grandchildren: Chris (Greg) Niemuth, Fremont; Carrie (Rick) Tews, Weyauwega; Dan (Stephanie) Fritch, Weyauwega; David Fritch (special friend,Jennifer) Weyauwega; and Kim (Duane)Hudzaik, Weyauwega; nine great grandchildren: Tanner, Tyra (Shane) Zabel, Tressa (fiancee John Koch), Jordan, Joey, Gena, Tony, Brandon, and Cody and one great-great grandchild, Ariana and a sister, Arlene Paessler, Appleton. She is further survived by special friend Peter Gitter, Hortonville; numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Her parents and two sisters preceded her in death. Funeral services for Velma were held on Tuesday, February 8, 2010, at 11:00 AM at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, Hortonville with Rev. Ralph Rosenberg officiating. Burial will be in the Union Cemetery, Hortonville. Visitation was held at the Borchardt & Moder Funeral Home in Hortonville from 4-7 p.m. and on Tuesday at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
