New owners re-open Riverside Caf

Maggie Michalski and Jim Inderdahl have opened the Riverside Cafè of Clintonville and are excited to serve customers from their location at 27 S. Main Street.

The cafè, which had been open under previous owners, sat empty for many months before Michalski and Inderdahl decided to give it a go.

“My sister leased this building almost two years ago, and I worked on and off for her,” explained Maggie. “About a year ago, Jim and I started thinking about it, and we re-opened the restaurant on Jan. 10.”

Menu items include a full variety of breakfast items, as well as burgers and fries for lunch. The cafè will begin hosting a “Friday Night Fish Fry” on Friday nights within the next couple of weeks. A Kids Menu is also available for breakfast and lunch.

Some of the restaurants signature items include homemade burgers, fries, and soups. Homemade pies are soon to come.

“So far, we have received lots of compliments on the food portions and the cleanliness of the restaurant,” Michalski stated. “It’s been a bit slow. Many people have been coming in saying, ‘I didn’t know you were open!’ But we are seeing some of the regulars coming back already.

“We encourage everyone to come try one of our homemade burgers,” concluded Michalski. “Also, the John Wayne plate collection is pretty neat-come check it out!”

The locally-owned, family-run business is open from 6 a.m. to 2 p.m., seven days a week.
