Romberg, Jody A.

Jody A. Romberg, age 49, of the Township of Larrabee, Waupaca County, passed away peacefully on Monday, February 7,

2011 at her residence surrounded by her family and friends after a valiant one-year battle with melanoma. Jody was born on April 14, 1961 in Wausau, the daughter of the late Jerry and Jane (Edwards) Quandt. Her family moved to Marion in 1972, later moving to the Woodruff area where Jody helped with the family restaurant. She graduated from Minocqua High School in 1979. On April 21, 1979, Jody was united in marriage to Edward Romberg in Marion. Jody and Ed worked shoulder to shoulder on the Romberg family farm in the Township of Larrabee most of their married life. While farming, Jody also volunteered as a teacher’s aide at the Marion Elementary School. In February of 2001, Jody began working for D.E.N. Services (Disabled, Elderly & Needy), serving as an administrative assistant since 2008. She gave her all to everything she did. Despite her illness, Jody continued to work at D.E.N. Services, with her last day being February 1st. She was a member of the Spoken Word Church in Shawano. Her hobbies included shopping, traveling, and spending time with her grandchildren. Jody deeply loved her family and always put the needs of others ahead of her own. She will be remembered as an affectionate wife and mother, a faithful and consistent Christian, and a warm and steadfast friend. Survivors include:

Her grandchildren: Caitlin and Aaron Keller, and Madison Romberg. Her sister: Jayme (David) Krueger, Marion. Her brothers: Jeff (Debbie) Quandt, and Jon Quandt, Beaver Dam. Her mother-in-law: Bette Rom berg, Marion. Her sister-in-law: Nola (Douglas) Arndt, Marion. Numerous Nieces and Nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her father-in-law, Donald Romberg, her sister-in-law, Tammy Quandt, and her niece, Mindy Krueger. Memorial services were held 11 A.M. Saturday, February 12, 2011 at Bethany Evangelical Free Church, Clintonville, with Pastor Lawrence Hamann and Pastor Joel Pyatskowit officiating. A gathering of family and friends was held from 4 until 8 P.M. Friday at the Eberhardt-Stevenson Funeral Home & Crematory, Clintonville, and after 10 A.M.
