Seniors at Little Wolf High School go for the Gold.

Ambassador Girl Scouts Aurora May; daughter of Rebecca and Terrence May, Manawa and Bobbijo Rineck; daughter of Nicole and Jeffery Rineck, Ogdensburg. Both are seniors at Little Wolf Senior High School, Manawa, who had decided several years ago that they wanted to earn the most prestigious recognition offered by Girl Scouts, The Gold Award. The project that Aurora and Bobbijo decided on in their endeavor to earn the Gold Award was to collect and donate comfort items to the residents of Tomorrow’s Children in Waupaca. They decided to name their project Kumfy Kozy Drive. Through the generous donations from their communities, classmates, educators and staff of the Manawa School District, they collected several hundred donated items. Items included coats, hats, gloves, pillows, blankets, stuffed animals, and fleece remnants. With assistance from their sister Girl Scouts of Manawa, they used the fleece remnants to create more hats, scarves, pillows, and blankets to be donated. Aurora and Bobbijo were honored to donate all these items to Tomorrow’s Children Assistant Administrator, Sarabeth Stielow on 21 January, to be distributed to their residents. On 25 March, Aurora and Bobbijo received their Girl Scout Gold Award from Gail McNutt, CEO of Girls Scouts of the Northwestern Great Lakes Council. Congratulations girls.
