CWEC headquarters now open

The Central Wisconsin Electric Cooperative (CWEC) headquarters is now open for business in Rosholt. The coop held its annual meeting with a combined open house on Saturday, April 9, for all members.

Prior to opening the new office, CWEC operated from two sites, the main office in Iola and a sub-office in Wittenberg. Building a new headquarters in the Rosholt area will allow CWEC to merge operations to achieve better service to its membership.

The new building is 48,609 square feet, with 16,473 square feet of office space and the rest for warehouse and a garage area. It is an energy efficient building with geo-thermal heat.

Central Wisconsin Electric Cooperative serves around 8,000 members in Marathon, Shawano, Portage and Waupaca counties. The coop has been serving its members since 1938.

The new office address is P.O. Box 100, 10401 Lystul Road, Rosholt, WI 54473, phone 715-677-2211.
