Howard Glenn Andert, 85, of Cape Coral, Florida, passed away April 3, 2011.

He was born January 30, 1926, in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, the son of Harry and Helen (Trester) Andert. Howard was President of Tools for Industry in Wauwatosa, Wisconsin for many years. He was a mediator for the 20th Judicial Court in Lee County Florida. In 2003, he received the Liberty Bell Award. He was president of Toast Masters in Milwaukee, President of Wisconsin Industrial Distributors Association, and President of National Industrial Distributors Association. He was a member of S.C.O.R.E., Araba Shrine Temple, and the Masonic Lodge. He loved his boats and cars. He leaves to cherish his loving memory, his loving wife of 61 years, Mary Andert of Cape Coral, Florida, 2 daughters, Lynda (Paul) Luce of Waupaca, Wisconsin and Dr. Darlene Andert of Cape Coral, Florida, former son-in-law, Tom Schmidt, 4 grandchildren, Trevor (Nicole) Schmidt, Gavin (Stevi) Schmidt, Mike (Erica) Luce, and Kate (Erik) Greenfield, 3 great grandchildren, Tanner, Tristan, and Lucy. A celebration of Howard’s life was held on Friday at 12:00 PM at Araba Shrine Temple, 2010 Hanson Street, Fort Myers, Florida 33901. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Howard’s loving memory may be made to Araba Shrine Temple, 2010 Hanson Street, Fort Myers, Florida 33901 or to Hope Hospice, 2430 Diplomat Parkway, Cape Coral, Florida 33909.
