Funeral Home receives landscaping update

Kent Rusch of Cline-Hanson Funeral Home is happy with the new exterior of the funeral home. Oberstadt Landscaping experts brought a bit of spring to the landscaping and an updated look to the sidewalk and entrance.

First the team removed some overgrown shrubs and old landscaping stones. New concrete was installed at the curb and was treated with brushed sand to blend with the old concrete. Two new, half-moon shaped seat walls were constructed just outside the entrance, made of Belvedere stone, a nice compliment to the lannon stone building. New mulch and plantings round off the fresh, new look.

“I’m really pleased with how it turned out,” said Rusch as he walked up to the front entrance and admired it.

The parking lot has a new look too. “There were two really bad locust trees that needed to come out, and we replaced them with flowering pear trees,” said project foreman Beau Hodgen. The new trees won’t get so large and won’t overtake the islands they are planted on.

It is evident that a lot of planning took place for this project, as everything seems fits well, complimenting the funeral home’s structure, like it was meant to be there.
