Thomas “Tom” E. Schneekloth, of Waupaca, age 76, passed away unex pectedly Friday, May 13, 2011, at Riverside Medical Center. He was born in Waupaca, on August 28, 1934, the son of the late Peter and Helen (Brandt) Schneekloth. On November 3, 1962, he was united in marriage to Geraldine Brooks. Tom was a veteran of the U. S. Army, stationed in France, during the Korean War. He also enjoyed collecting military memorabilia. Restoring old Jeeps was a passion and he also worked as a mechanic for many years. He was a member of the Waupaca Lions Club, did farming in his spare time, and enjoyed morning and afternoon coffee with friends. He will be sadly missed by his wife: Gerry, of Waupaca; three children: Sally (Jeff) Nicewander of Waupaca; Tyler (Jennifer) Schneekloth of Fall River, WI; and Pete Schneekloth (girl friend Maria Silva) of Waupaca; grandchildren: Eric (Molly) and Sarah Nicewander; Zach and Abby Schneekloth; a sister: Shirley (Jim) Greenwood of South Carolina and a brother: Peter (Sherry) Brandt of Waupaca. Tom is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. The funeral service will be on Thursday, May 19, 2011, at 11 A.M., at First United Methodist Church of Waupaca, with Pastor Jeffrey S. Fletcher officiating. Burial and military honors will follow at Crystal Lake Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 4 – 8 PM Wednesday, at Maple Crest Funeral Home and again on Thursday at the church from 10:15 AM until the time of the service.
