Mansee, Donald W.

Donald W. Mansee, age 81, New London, died on Monday, May 9, 2011, following a lengthy illness at Grand Horizon’s in Appleton. Don was born on November 16, 1929, in Pella, WI son of the late John and Clara (Peter) Mansee. On August 20, 1952, he was united in marriage to Eunice Starosta. Following their marriage Donald worked the family farm in Pella. He then worked at Curwood and later Bergstrom Factory retiring in 1993 from Glatfelter. Don is survived by his wife Eunice; a daughter, Brenda (Richard) Persson, Wisconsin Rapids; two sons, Mark (Sandy) Mansee, Vadnais Heights, MN and Steven Mansee, Chicago, IL; two sisters, Jean (Edward) Gorman, Manawa and Selma (Lyle) Schwanke, Shawano. Five grandchildren: Josh, Erin, Kendall, Zach and Taylor and also nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Dora Popke. A Memorial service will be held for Don on Friday, May 27, 2011, at 2:00 p.m. at Cline & Hanson Funeral Home, New London with Rev. Brian Hennig officiating. Visitation will be held at the funeral home on Friday from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service.
