The annual city swim meet sponsored by the municipal swimming pool in Bucholtz Park in Clintonville will be held on Saturday August 6th starting at 1 pm.
There will be no charge to take part in this event which is open to all area youth age 5-15. Signups for the meet are being accepted at the pool any time it is open. Open swimming is offered 1:30-4:30 and 5:30-8 every day of the week weather permitting.
Competition will be held in the following age groups and events: Age 5/6: water wing race, kickboard race, littlest splash, biggest splash Age 7/8: kickboard race, underwater swim, front dive, littlest splash, biggest splash Age 9/10; Age 11/12; Age 13-15: underwater swim, front crawl, back crawl, front dive, littlest splash, biggest splash First through fourth and participant ribbons will be awarded. In addition, the top swimmers in each age group will receive an engraved plaque. The event will end with cookies and kool-aid or everyone.
