Hard Core Fitness offers help in building a healthy lifestyle

Hard Core Fitness has come to Clintonville for those who are serious about changing their life.

The exercise and fitness business, located at 143 S. Main Street, is owned by Dana Tennie, a certified (ACE, NETA) personal trainer and fitness instructor who is excited to offer personalized health plans for her customers. Tennie, who was previously the fitness specialist at the Clintonville High School Rec Center, has 13 years of experience working at various Gold’s Gym locations in the area, serving as a personal trainer, fitness instructor, and natural competitive bodybuilder.

“I wanted to start my own business in Clintonville because nobody really offers a comprehensive program for individual body types,” Tennie explained. “I know what it takes to get your body where it needs to be from a nutritional and exercise standpoint-without compromising your health.”

Tennie said she wants to offer her knowledge to the Clintonville community and is excited to bring a 1-on-1 approach to personal fitness.

“Communicating with people on an individual level is very important,” she stated. “I want to help people figure out what they need. Fitness isn’t a cookie-cutter concept. I offer programs that are very customized-that’s what makes lifelong changes. This isn’t a quick fix-it’s about your lifestyle.”

Exercise and diet are key components that Tennie can assist customers with as a balanced approach is utilized to create health that supports an individual’s well-being.

Currently, Hard Core Fitness is not a normal gym membership setup, though it may grow into that status at some point in the future. Tennie is currently offering fitness classes for all ages, personal training, wellness workshops, and weight loss challenges. “I offer anything dealing with fitness that isn’t membership-based,” Tennie stated. “Everything is specialized.”

The business opened on Aug. 1, and classes began Monday, Aug. 8. Some classes includeTighten & Tone, Shazam!, Yogalates, Limber, Lunch Crunch, Ripped, Chiseled, Yoga, and Road Rage. Classes are offered Monday through Thursday from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and 5:15 p.m. to 7 p.m.
