Riverside Medical Center willl host a community blood drive from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 13.
The bloodmobile will park near the hospital’s main entrance at 800 Riverside Drive. Blood donors can register just inside the main entrance.
Donation appointments are recommended, and may be made by calling Central Scheduling at 715-258-1119 or going to www.save3lives.org. Walk-in donors are welcome, but scheduling an appointment keeps the total time required for a donation to less than an hour.
Organizers hope to see at least 59 people at the blood drive. At the last Waupaca community blood drive in April, 61 people gave blood, and the blood center is encouraging new blood donors to join with current blood donors at the September blood drive.
Blood donors must be at least 17 years old (16 with parental permission), weigh at least 110 pounds, be in general good health, and bring a photo ID. Donors are encouraged to eat a regular meal and drink plenty of fluids prior to donating.
